Helping Hands are the Roots of A Community.

Please donate today and help us compete for a $25K grant in the 2021 A Community Thrives Challenge through Aug. 13, 2021, by the Gannett Foundation. All funds raised will be used for Crisis Aid, helping low-income people in Volusia and Flagler Counties pay for their rent/mortgage, utilities and prescription medicine.

The Jewish Federation of Volusia & Flagler Counties helps the economically disadvantaged in our community, regardless of race or religion, and 100% of donations go directly to aid the poor because the Federation pays all administrative costs. We never give money to clients and always make payments directly to the utility company, apartment complex, etc., after verifying the charges.

We are receiving more requests for this assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic and expect the number to increase. The CDC has imposed a moratorium on evictions until July 31, 2021. Afterward, millions of people who are behind on their rent will be at risk for eviction and homelessness.

How can you help?

DONATE TODAY and your contribution will be doubled thanks to a $3,000 matching grant from an anonymous donor. And if we raise $3,000 on Mightycause.com between July 19, 2021, and Aug. 13, 2021, at noon, we will be eligible to compete for a $25,000 grant from Gannett Media Co., owner of the Daytona Beach News-Journal and other newspapers nationwide.
