Denver Food Rescue’s top priorities are “producing health equity with Denver neighborhoods,” and safeguarding the health of the community, supporters, participants, volunteers, and staff. To remain in compliance with the Center for Disease Control social distancing recommendation, this year DFR’s annual Food Rescue Ride (FRR) is going virtual!

The Food Rescue Ride is Denver Food Rescue’s keystone fundraising event of the year and includes a casual, non competitive 15 or 30 mile bike ride. Since we aren't gathering to ride the Cherry Creek Trail we are asking participants to bike a route that's accessible and convenient for them!

As an agency dedicated to equity, inclusion, and removing barriers we realize that some of our supporters, for various reasons, are unable to participate in a bike ride, but still want to participate. So this year Denver Food Rescue is adding a 5K (3.1 miles) to either walk or run!

All participants will be provided a map of trails recommended for safe biking, running and walking in the Denver Metro area and can be completed anytime between August 22 and August 29th. You will be encouraged to share your riding / walking / running experience on social media channels.

Virtual offerings for participants during the week of August 23-29, 2020 will include meal and drink coupons from our sponsors and raffle tickets for awesome prizes. Celebrations will conclude with a live stream recap party on August 29th.
