Your donation can make a difference! What if you were living on borrowed time?

Jedidiah Butler is awaiting a new lease on life. In 2019, Jedidiah was surprised to learn he was in end stage liver failure which has taken a physical and emotional toll on his quality of life. Prior to his diagnosis, he was an energetic, boisterous outdoorsman who loved experiencing nature. Since his diagnosis, his health has prevented him from participating in sports and activities. To add to his challenges, his liver function continues to decline, and he now must have his gall bladder removed in addition to his liver. Doctors say a lifesaving transplant is necessary for his survival.

During this difficult time, Jedidiah is thankful for the love and support of his mother and brother, as well as the joy from his niece and nephew. After he receives his lifesaving transplant, Jedidiah is looking forward to snowboarding every weekend in the winter, hiking at Red Rock, frisbee golf with friends, or doing anything outdoors where he can once again be free. But right now, he needs your help.

Unfortunately, Jedidiah's hope for a new life comes at a very high price. The average liver transplant costs more than $812,000, and that's only the beginning. Even with insurance, which will cover a portion of the transplant costs, Jedidiah still faces significant expenses related to the surgery. For the rest of his life, he will need follow-up care and anti-rejection medications. Post-transplant medications are very expensive, and they're as critical to his survival as the transplant itself. Jedidiah is unable to work due to his health issues, further adding to his financial burdens.
