Dear Friends and Family,

This year has been a year of learning. I learned to place faith in God and believe in His sovereignty over my life through serving others in Davis Korean Church. This summer, God has placed me in to a great opportunity to stretch my faith through a short-term mission in South Korea. So I gladly decided to take this opportunity that God has given me, trusting that He will use and provide me to show His glory and love for his people.

This short-term mission will take place from July 17th to August 3rd in a rural side of South Korea called YangSan. My teammates and I will mainly be doing Vacation Bible School for First Yangsan Church and English Camp for the children who have not had opportunity to learn English. We will also be doing community service as well as outreach for the adults and elders who are in need of farm work.

As much as I am excited to go into the mission, I first need to prepare myself with a few things before and I would like to ask you to be a part of my support team through prayers and/or financial support.

Here are my few prayer requests:

• To trust in God and to not lean on my own understanding in everything I do so that I can just humbly come and serve.
• For spiritual and physical strength and protection over our mission team as we serve.
• That our mission team will be united in Christ, encouraging to each other and serving one another
• That the children and the people’s hearts will be opened and softened as they hear the gospel

I believe in the power of prayer that anything and everything can be done by God if we pray in His name. So I want to invite you to support our mission team in prayers.

The cost of this trip is $1000. In order to cover the cost of the trip, I will be doing fundraiser events and send out support letters to ask for financial help. I also intend to contribute some of my own money towards this effort. Any amount of money would be greatly appreciated.

As this is my very first mission trip, I am excited to experience and share God’s great love for the people. Although it will be a great challenge, I know it will be a great leap of step to grow in my walk with God.
