The trails are open to ALL! Johnson Lake Trails is widely known as one of Nebraska's premier off-road Hike/Bike trails! The ten-mile loop around the lake contains 8 1/2 miles of a concrete surface, offering a riding time of 1 to 2 hours - great for families of all ages. In addition, it now offers a park-like environment with 23 landscaped rest areas with benches, 7 gazebo/pergolas, 10 trailheads with parking, 3 Little Free Libraries, 2 playgrounds, 5 arches, and two bike repair stations. It connects two Nebraska State Recreation areas with water and restrooms.
Trail Activities!
Continuing to promote biking and riding for all, the Johnson Lake Trails committee will present the 4th annual GAZEBO HOP one day during the Memorial Day weekend. This fun, easy-going morning provides riders with a chance to learn about all the trails have to offer, the area's rich past, present projects and updates, and plans for the future!
From Gazebo Hops to the Chalk the Walk and other organized activities to the integration of two new playgrounds, there is more imagined and planned at Johnson Lake Trails!
"I see the trail as a ten-mile park circling the lake!"
The Trails have that feel. Your continued support will be used to maintain, improve, and extend the Johnson Lake Trails System. Thank you for your consideration.
