Johnny Williams

Transplant Type: Kidney

Johnny Williams is fighting for his life once again. He suffers from kidney failure, and his wife, Barbara, donated one of her kidneys to Johnny in 2000. His kidneys began rejecting last year, and doctors say a second kidney transplant is necessary. Thankfully, his stepdaughter Samantha has been found to be a match, and she’ll donate one of her kidneys to save Johnny’s life.

Despite these challenges, Johnny feels blessed and thankful for all that he has. Barbara and Samantha are precious in his eyes, as they have been with him through the ups and downs of his health battle. He enjoys playing bass at his church, as well as spending time with Barbara and their two young daughters—Destiny and Kiaja—and family and friends. Johnny looks forward to traveling and resuming his normal, active lifestyle after receiving his transplant. He is always the first to help others in need, but right now, he needs your help.

The average kidney transplant costs more than $414,000, and that’s only the beginning. Even with insurance, which will cover a portion of the transplant costs, Adam still faces significant expenses related to the surgery. For the rest of his life, he will need follow-up care and anti-rejection medications. Post-transplant medications are very expensive, and they’re as critical to his survival as the transplant itself.

You can help by making a tax-deductible donation to NFT in honor of Johnny. If you'd prefer to send your gift by mail, please send it to the NFT North Carolina Transplant Fund, 3249 W. Sarazens Circle, Suite 100, Memphis, TN 38125. Please be sure to write "in honor of Johnny Williams” on the memo line.

Thank you for your generosity!
