Jonathon Romain 2019 King Candidate

Hailing from Chicago, Jonathon Romain attended high school at Proviso East in Maywood, Illinois and came to Peoria to attend Bradley University.      

After a 20-year career as a nationally-known artist, gallery owner, and guest speaker, Jonathon's next chapter will focus on inspiring and empowering the Peoria community through the arts.

As Co-Founder (along with his wife, Nikki) and Board President of Artists ReEnvisioning Tomorrow (ART Inc.), he is well-versed on the importance of providing youth with a structured and safe environment in which they can cultivate a bright future.  ART Inc. purchased the Greely School building and hopes to open its doors by summer 2019. "We seek to nurture a vibrant arts community by offering classes in  Music, Language Arts, Dance, Theater, Graphic Arts, STEAM, Family Empowerment Workshops, Yoga, Health Workshops, Sewing, and much more," Jonathon states. "It's a parallel mission to that of Quest, so it's easy to get behind."

Jonathon's wife Nikki is also on this year's prom court. "If either of both of us win," he laughs, "we will wear the crown with pride."
