Raising funds to help with our Emergency Vet expenses and other medical care that has been needed!

2023 has not been kind to dogs everywhere. We were not spared from the hardships everyone is seeing.  We specifically incurred several UNUSUAL emergency situations where our dogs needed medical care.  Our savings is exhausted which means we don't have the funds to help should other emergencies arise.  We need your help to pay off the large expenses we incurred so we can help more rescued dogs.  Here are some of the expenses we incurred this year:

  1.  One of our dogs had a GI bleed that lead to removing 4 inches at the lower intestine (cecum) where it meets the large intestine.
  2. A foster dog ingested a piece of nylabone and had to have it surgically removed.
  3. Cobbler, who had just got her spay done, had her incision rip open which caused her intestines to spill out. Thankfully she is OK and no bowel had to be removed.
  4. A puppy suffered from intussusception. A serious condition in which part of the intestine slides into an adjacent part of the intestine. This telescoping action often blocks food or fluid from passing through. Intussusception also cuts off the blood supply to the part of the intestine that's affected.

We also got hit with that case of Parvo.  We still have no idea where they contacted it but thankfully they all recovered.  Can't say the same of our checkbook.

Please donate if you can.  Even $5 can make a difference!  Thank you.
