Fundraising for Supplies for the Medical Clinic!

Healing the sick was the hallmark of Jesus' Ministry. Wherever He went, people brought the sick to him, and he healed them. (Matthew 4:23-25) The Gospels show us that He did this throughout His earthly ministry and then right before ascending to heaven He gave the great commission to His disciples to continue to go out and preach the good news and heal the sick. (Matthew 28:16-20) 

The medical clinic where I will be serving is in  need of medical equipment and supplies. I am asking if you feel led to donate to the fundraiser we have set up for donations. 

The Kenyan nurse who works in this clinic is named Rachel and she has stated her biggest needs are:

 a good medical grade otoscope, 

birthing bed for laboring mothers,

 sterilizing machine to help prevent infections,

speculums for exams, 

pregnancy tests and urinalysis tests, 

as well as supplies for dressings and reusable ice packs. 

I feel led to do all I can to bring these supplies with us. I am estimating these supplies will cost a couple thousand dollars together. The larger items will have to be bought in the country and then shipped to the tribal area. We also have to average in the cost of the luggage to get to Turkana with the supplies. The flight from Nairobi in Kenya to the tribal area charges $3 per kg over 20 kg. 

This would be a huge blessing to all the people of Turkana if we can raise enough money to buy these supplies.  Please join us in this mission to provide healing for these Children of God! 

Mel and I  will be heading to Kenya on September 24th to bring these supplies to the clinic.
