In Memory of Kari Viljeon Scott

Kari was an avid animal rights activist in Malawi, committed to raising awareness about compassionate animal conservation in her communities. She was a founding member of the All Creatures Animal Welfare Trust and the Lilongwe Society for the Protection and Care of Animals.    For over 20 years, Kari has been caring for animals that were abandoned or deemed unsuitable for adoption. Tragically she lost her battle to cancer in February this year.

She committed herself to lifetime care of these vulnerable animals, extending her love to over 50 cats and 35 dogs. We are forever grateful for the opportunity to learn from Kari’s generosity, compassion, and commitment to animal rights, as well as the memories we share with her.   To honor Kari’s commitment to animal sentience, we are raising funds to support the animals Kari and her partner Dave have been caring for. *We are hoping to raise $10,000 to provide food for the many cats and dogs, support their continued vet care, and initiate community outreach efforts and/or an adoption fair in her memory.*    $25 covers food for 1 animal for a week $40 helps us relocate 1 animal
