Today is my Birthday and I am busy feeding all of the animals in my area, and making Thank You cards for all who donate.  :)   https://youtu.be/U5XyX3XwIrA

Greetings!

This August I will be turning 50.  Yes- you heard it right- Fifty- 5 0!  Instead of crying non-stop I decided that we should all celebrate this momentous occasion by helping animals!  Yes-  I normally do that myself by sending out donations for my birthday- but this year I decided to create a fundraiser so it would be easy for others to help as well.  I Love and Adore several Sanctuaries, so I decided to create this Fundraiser to go to Tigers in America, who has kindly agreed to double the donations received for my Birthday, and use 100% of all proceeds for their next rescue.  They have been instrumental in more than 80 rescues including the largest big cat rescue in this country, getting 75 tigers out of a closed facility in Colorado.

There are more than 5,000 tigers in this country, more than exist in the wild in the rest of the world. They are the result of unrestricted tiger breeding for cubs to display at fairs, malls and roadside zoos. When cubs become adults they are too costly to care for and will not be taken by AZA zoos so they wind up living miserable lives in substandard facilities and die prematurely of neglect, abuse because they have no place to go.

There are, however, true sanctuaries with dedicated, knowledgeable people doing exceptional work. These sanctuaries have land, infrastructure, procedures and people in place and could accept more tigers, but are unable to because of the financial burden of rescues, medical care and cost of additional shelters, which is effectively a death sentence for every tiger they have to refuse.

Here is a little bit about Tigers in America (http://www.tigersinamerica.org/:

Tigers in America, started in 2012, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization EID 45-4998901.

They established the Tigers in America Network and are the only charity set up to:

(1)  Identify the best tiger sanctuaries in this country

(2)  Support rescues of unwanted or abused tigers or other big cats

(3)  Help sanctuaries construct new shelters to take in additional tigers

(4)  Raise the awareness of the general public about this condition

(5)  Solicit support from like-minded foundations and corporations

Tigers in America lives by their motto "No tiger should have to die in this country because he or she does not have a ride home or cannot afford to see a doctor"

They have and will rescue any big cat including Tigers, Lions, Leopards, Mountain Lions and Jaguars.
