2 years and Kaukau 4 Keiki is Going Strong!

Update posted 1 year ago

Mahalo nui for everyone who has given to support our keiki on school breaks these past couple of years. It's meant the world to ‘ohana to have nourishment assured for their keiki when school is out.

We haven't had to ask for donations for this program in awhile because it was funded by grants, but those just ended this month! We would like to continue to raise funds to provide $50 grocery boxes to low-income keiki for their winter break.  Can you help?

Here's what we've been up to:

Summer 2021: 1,200+ keiki served, 6,350 boxes (87,450 meals worth of food!), $211,393 spent on local food

Summer 2022: 464 keiki served, 14,509 meals prepared, 5,994 pounds of local food purchased, $19,016 spent on local food

Fall 2022 School Year: 814 keiki served, 834 bags/boxes distributed for after school and fall break distributions

Every $25 delivers a healthy box of locally produced food to a keiki's doorstep.

Help keiki who cannot get to feeding program sites across Kaua‘i, and their  ‘ohana, by making a donation to cover CSA Boxes of produce from local farms.

Food pantries and farmers markets are closing down to reduce gathering....

Some keiki don't have transportation to get to feeding sites or pantries...

Store shelves are emptying out of eligible WIC foods...

Our farmers need financial support and new markets...

Help us to make sure that no keiki are left hungry by sponsoring a family in need.

You will also be supporting local farmers with your donation, so that they can continue to expand operations and support their local community by growing us healthy, fresh foods.

Delivery volunteers are all screened, with stricter protocols than the current CDC recommendations, and many Dept. of Health recommendations are in place for proper produce handling.
