Kelly's InsideOut Write-A-Thon Fundraiser

The week of April 23-29th, I have committed to writing 500 words daily to support InsideOut's Write-A-Thon fundraiser. By writing for one week and asking for your support, we will help to share the gift of voice for a lifetime with students!  

Personally, I have worked as a writer-in-residence at Inside Out, and my affiliation with the organization goes back at least a decade. It is the most inspiring organization I have ever been associated with...I have witnessed genius in both the instructors (Tyehimba Jess! Vievee Francis! Matthew Olzmann...among many many others) and the students. 

Since 1995, InsideOut Literary Arts has helped Detroit’s youth build their literary and academic skills through creative writing.
