“[W]hat Christians need to do above all is to be Christians
—that is, to be God’s in the midst of this world’s culture.”
—James Boice, Two Cities, Two Loves

Culture has deviated from what is good, right, and true - these tumultuous times are all the proof one needs! Yet the sad part is that this is true even in many churches today!

“Scripture must take us beyond our perceived needs to our real needs and liberate us from seeing ourselves through the seductive images, cliches, promises, and priorities of mass culture. It is only in the light of God's truth that we understand ourselves aright and see God's provision for our need.”

The Cambridge Declaration boldly makes this claim. Thank you for allowing the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals to proclaim the biblical truth that believers and unbelievers alike need to hear.

The Church in the sixteenth century needed a reformation. In April of 1996, Dr. Boice and 120 other evangelical pastors, teachers, and church leaders met to wage war on the prevailing doctrinal decline among many evangelicals. The Cambridge Declaration calls the Church to repent, recover, and confess the truth of God’s Word, as did the Reformers.

The reality of culture-driven churches has only grown since then. The need to point people back to the truth of God's Word is great.

The Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals reaches millions worldwide with resources that share the Gospel, proclaim biblical doctrine, engage the culture, and equip the Church. Only with your support can the Alliance continue to serve people around the world with Christ-centered resources.

I heard about the Cambridge Declaration this morning as I listened to James Boice. To think of finding so much in one declaration. Oh the joy the Lord has brought me today!... And in His abundance, I have been led to a church declaring these Solas, near where I live, so I don’t have to sit in a cave, alone. Thanks again for your website declaring His Word.

The Alliance stands firmly on the Bible as the final rule for all faith and practice. With your prayerful support, we continue to share that Word with the lost and encourage the Body with sound, Christ-centered teaching to God’s glory alone. We do this in concrete, life-changing ways through broadcasting, events, and publishing.

Your gifts support radio, smartphone apps, and Internet broadcasts such as The Bible Study Hour and Theology on the Go. You also encourage believers through daily devotionals like MatthewHenry.org and ThinkAndActBiblically.org, articles on theology, church history, and cultural critique found at reformation21.org and PlaceforTruth.org, events across North America, and the trustworthy teaching offered at ReformedResources.org.

The Alliance remains committed to recovering and confessing the truth of God's Word, as did the reformers, and seeing that truth embodied in doctrine, worship, and life. Your prayers, participation, and financial support are essential parts of this bold initiative to encourage modern-day reformation.

Won’t you continue to bring reformation to the Church of our day?

Thank you for your ongoing prayerful support. It is a great privilege to serve alongside you in this sacred calling to hold fast to God’s Word.

In Christ,

P.S. To thank you for a gift of $35 or more, we’d like to send you the recently re-released book Two Cities, Two Loves by James Boice. Dr. Boice highlights the dangers we face in today’s culture—dangers familiar to God’s people throughout the millennia—while offering practical, biblical wisdom and comfort for our sojourn.
