Mini With a Meaning 5K Walk/Run

We will  participate in a 5K virtual walk this year with the Indiana Lyme Connect (ILC) team and  the 2020 One America/ Delta Dental, 500 Festival 5K race on Saturday, June 20, 2020 .  While the original run was cancelled because of the Covid 19 pandemic, we are excited to kick off our own  virtual 5K walk for this great cause!  

With your support, ILC will provide a variety of vital services related to education, advocacy, and awareness of Lyme disease and its associated co-infections, including:

• Monthly support meetings for Lyme patients, their families and caregivers, and interested citizens
• Education for the greater Indiana community regarding Lyme-centric issues such as prevention, tick removal, and diagnosis.
• Promotion of educational opportunities to the Indiana medical community that are designed to prepare healthcare professionals for the fight against this emerging public health crisis.

Currently, the CDC estimates that there are 30,000 new cases of Lyme diagnosed every year, but the real number is likely much higher, given the elusive nature of Lyme Disease and the complex co-infections. By supporting us in the virtual 5K walk, you will be an integral part of Indiana Lyme Connect’s mission to prevent as many new cases of Lyme disease as possible in Indiana.
