Kodiak's Pride Month Fundraiser for LHF

This Pride Month, I'm raising money for the Lesbian Health Fund, an organization whose mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of LGBTQ+ women and girls through funding rigorous, scientific research. 

As a researcher, I know how challenging it can be to convince funders to support research on LGBTQ+ women and girls and how vital funds like LHF are to create the pilot data necessary to get larger grants. Much of the research that has been conducted in our community would not have ever come to fruition without the pilot data LHF supports.

As a community member, I also know how little scientific information there is about our health. Without high-quality evidence, our providers are ill-equipped to provide us with appropriate care and, at worst, harm us.

That's why I'm committed to the work LHF does and asking for your commitment for this year's Give Out Month, a month-long fundraising campaign culminating on June 30, the only national day of giving for the LGBTQ community. 

My goal for this year is to have 30 friends join me in supporting LHF -- can I count on you to be one of them? Every little bit helps get us closer to answering another critical question about the health of our community.
