Help us bring a family of three orphans from Latvia to Evanston for the summer to enjoy the warmth of family and siblings for five weeks.

The story of this family of three siblings is not a happy one. Raised without a father involved, their mother died when the youngest of the three was just an infant.  They lived for several years with a nice foster family, but that family abruptly decided to get rid of them last fall.  After being bounced around between multiple foster homes in Latvia, they finally seem to be in a good home--for now, at least. These three beautiful kids fell into our lap last summer because we had agreed to be a backup family for the orphan exchanged program (thinking we would maybe host ONE small child if anything at all!)  Imagine our surprise when we got the call saying that these three siblings needed a home for the final three and a half weeks of the program.  Our surprise quickly turned to joy as we fell in love with these beautiful kids!

Now we are trying to bring the kids to Evanston for the summer again to give them a break from their lives at home and a summer to remember in Chicago. But we need your help! Click here to make a tax-deductible contribution to the organization that sponsors the exchange program and help us get one step closer to bringing the kids here for the summer. If you can help us pay for them to get here, we'll do all the rest.  Literally any sized donation help!
