I’m proud to be a supporter of Between Friends, a Chicagoland nonprofit agency dedicated to breaking the cycle of domestic violence.

Domestic violence is an issue that is very close to my heart, and never more so than during October, which is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Every year at this time, I raise money for my beloved organization, Between Friends. I have worked at Between Friends for almost 7 years, assisting survivors of domestic violence in the court system. As well as our legal advocacy program, we have a 24-hour helpline, provide counseling to survivors and their families, and provide prevention education in schools.

For the past 18 months, Between Friends has been working hard to continue providing services to clients and to address our clients’ changing needs in the era of COVID-19. All the services this wonderful agency provides to clients, whether in-person or remote, are free of charge. During difficult economic times for so many people, this has been more important than ever. And it is only possible because of the donations we receive from people like you and me.

To ensure we can continue to meet the needs of domestic violence survivors, Between Friends is aiming to raise $80,000 by the end of October in a campaign called “It Takes A Friend.” I’m raising money to help them, and you can help me do it! Please make a donation today or consider joining this fundraising team!
