Lawyers for Learners is a giving circle which raises funds specifically for The Fishing School (TFS), a DC-based nonprofit providing high-quality afterschool, summer, and parent engagement programs for over 400 students in underserved communities.
We welcome donations from individuals in the legal field who understand the importance of representing and advocating for underserved communities in the District.
Funds raised support parent engagement programs that give parents the skills and knowledge to help their children make the right choices in life.
The Fishing School prepares public school elementary and middle school students for success in high school and life by improving their academic performance and life skills; and engaging them and their parents in intensive, multi-year, and research-based out of school time and parent engagement programs and activities.
