Escaped the Hurricane but Badly Injured!

Leah had a harrowing week. She was in the path of Hurricane Laura but was evacuated on a flight before the hurricane hit. After a long day of travel, she arrived at Homeward Trails and we saw her tail was in bad shape. We're not sure what happened, but the injury was old. Part of her tail is just bone and the portion below it is missing skin and the flesh is exposed - this is called degloving. This needs immediate attention before an infection gets out of control and spreads to the rest of her body.

The only treatment is to amputate the portion of the tail that's injured. She's clearly in pain, so we want to get this scheduled ASAP. While she's on meds to treat infection and pain, we want to get her surgery scheduled as soon as her body is ready for it.
