JCK Foundation 11th Annual Legends Day

The JCK Legends Tournament is such a special day for us all! This year, we are transitioning from softball, to an amazing get together with games, competitions, camaraderie and surprises called "Legends Day". We will spread hope, joy, love and acceptance. It’s incredible to see how far we’ve come since 60 of us gathered at Gould Park in 2011. It’s also the JCK Foundation’s biggest fundraiser. The money we raise at the tournament goes such a long way for us. Our hands-on work is the most important and middle school, high school and college mental wellness programming is where most of the money we raise will be going to. We've now developed faculty and staff programming to support our caregivies and give a more comprehensive approach to helping students find support!

A student who completed our “Legends Program” recently said, “I think the program showed everyone that even though we all lead different lives we all can come together with similar strategies and each work together as a team on everyone’s mental health journey, another student said “A positive I got out of this is that I shouldn’t act on my thoughts of suicide because of the impact it has on those around me. There are people that care, and I have them." Getting that kind of feedback is why we do the work we do.  Giving people hope, building community, and allowing students to lead empowered, socially resilient lives is so important.  This year, the JCK Foundation has had more impact than ever. We've reached nearly 40 schools and have run our program with over 9,000 students, faculty members/staff and parents. 

This year, our goal is to raise $20,000 as one UNIT!
