When asked what Pride meant to them at the Lexington Pride Festival in 2019, people answered:

ACCEPTANCE

LOVE

FREEDOM

HAPPINESS.

The Lexington Pride Festival is an important event for LGBGTQIA+ Kentuckians and for Lexington as a whole. The free community festival allows attendees to celebrate who they are in a safe and accepting environment.

For some people who attend, this event is the only time they experience acceptance, love, freedom, and happiness while they are being their true selves. It’s the only time they experience a community where they truly belong.

In addition, Lexington Pride Festival offers something for everyone - great music, delicious food, fun activities, interesting vendors. It's a chance for the entire community to celebrate, learn, remember, protest, and come together. As always, in 2021 the festival will be held with no admission fee.

Can you join me in supporting this special event by making a donation in lieu of paying an admission fee? Today, all donations to Lexington Pride Festival's Give OUT Day campaign will be matched by the Murry Foundation dollar for dollar, up to $5,000, giving us a chance to raise $10,000 to support the festival. You can help by making your donation and then sharing with your friends.

With your help, we’ll create a Lexington Pride Festival and world where being free to be who you are and love who you love IS the new normal.  All proceeds from the festival (above production costs) will  be used to help keep PCSO's Pride Center in Lexington running all year long, bringing acceptance, love, freedom, and happiness to LGBTQIA+ people in Kentucky  on an ongoing basis.
