Linda Hitchcock Memorial Contribution

Linda Hitchcock has been a volunteer, supporter and cheerleader for the Community Food Pantry mission at Village Presbyterian Church since its inception. Linda was vital in our implementation of our first database, moving handwritten files to digital.  She spent six months entering data in order to preserve our history and to better serve our food insecure clients.  

Linda always had a smile and kind word as a greeter in the pantry and in our mobile pantries.  Linda volunteered at more events than we can name and usually had her faithful husband Don by her side. She worked our auction at golf tournaments, broke down boxes at mobile events and has done just about every job a volunteer could do. 

Most recently, she entered all of our donations into the Feeding America database recording every pound that was donated to the Community Food Pantry.  She was meticulous in her work, just like she dressed with fun earrings to celebrate the current holiday and is most gracious in her service.  Linda was always the first to adopt a family in need during the holidays and shop for school supplies for children each new school year.

Linda will truly be missed with her giving heart for others and her kind way of keeping us all in line.

Linda's service will be held at Village Presbyterian Church, Saturday April 15th, 2023 at 1:00pm.  Your donation in her memory is greatly appreciated.
