Losing Their Home Because of Cancer

Their owner is a 75 year old woman in rural VA who is fighting terminal cancer. She has taken in dogs and cats over the years and provided them with the safe home they deserve. Just last month we met her when we took in her dog she could no longer take on walks or care for.

She now is faced with having to give up her cats. Her family has made it clear that when she dies, none of them will take the cats in and she fears they would be put outside, euthanized or taken to a shelter. As her health declines, she shouldn't have to worry about her cats. We want to let her know we will take care of her four-legged family members. She is heartbroken over this and emails us daily to ask if we can still take them in. We want to assure her we've got it from here and her cats will be well cared for for the rest of their lives.
