2 months old and all alone

Dozer is a 2 month old lab mix, from southern VA, barely weaned from his mother, found wandering the streets. He is so young we can only imagine he must have been abandoned. On the streets, Dozer would have been at extreme risk from the elements and violence especially with his energetic and happy personality. He would have struggled to find clean water and adequate food. Having to face the extreme heat of this summer plus all the recent storms with no shelter would have left him vulnerable to the elements. It is lucky he was found when he was. He likely would not have lasted much longer on his own. 

Now he is safe in a shelter but he deserves more than a cage and a concrete floor. Dozer is old and has a lot of years and love to give to a committed family. At Homeward Trails he will be paired with the right people that can give him a full and happy life. We need your help to get him here.
