Two Itty Bitty Babies Found Wandering & Homeless

Velvet and Ruger are teeny tiny and so young, in fact they are only 6 weeks old today! These poor pups were found wandering the streets in Puerto Rico alone with only each other for comfort.  We may never know what happened to their mother or how they survived at such an early age without her protection.  The streets of Puerto Rico are ruthless even for large adult dogs; it is nothing short of a miracle that Velvet and Ruger were found before they faced a terrible fate of starvation, animal attacks or worse.  A kind person couldn't believe their eyes when they saw these adorable siblings, so they picked them up and gave them to the local rescue.  Velvet and Ruger are safe for now, but a puppy this age needs love, structure and warmth to thrive.  Please help them with their big trip to the DC area.  They need us to complete their rags to riches journey!
