Liza was hit by a car. Vets were able to save her leg, but she has a long road to recovery.

$700 goal

This poor girl was left broken and in pain after being hit by a car. When her owners found her, they knew they couldn't afford her medical care but didn't want to euthanize her. They surrendered her to their local shelter so she could get the help she needed.

When she came to the shelter, Liza was in very bad shape. She narrowly avoided having her leg amputated, undergoing surgery to pin her leg in hopes that it will heal correctly.

Liza will have ongoing vet visits to replace the splints, x-rays to track her progress, medications to manage her pain, and more. Homeward Trails wants to do all we can to keep her healthy and comfortable while she gets back on (all four!) feet.
