Please give what you can to support the Vermont Workers' Center in our ongoing campaign to win universal health care by building a mass movement of poor and working class people.

We are a member-run , dues-funded organization because we want to remain independent from the interests that big-money funding sources might have.  But to do that, we need people to pitch in

We're coming off a beautiful March for Medicaid in Barre this past weekend, the product of many months of organizing, canvassing, phone banking,  and endless follow up.  We had a couple hundred people show up to march: we shut down Main Street, then held a rally and feasted in the park afterward.  It was so inspiring to see the collective work that made this event happen and to hear the voices of the Medicaid recipients, parents, teachers, disabled folks, migrant workers, and others who spoke about why they are marching for Medicaid.

Now we're gearing up for a busy summer: we're sending delegations to the Poor People's Congress in DC this June, Put People First  conference in Pennsylvania in July, and the Health Care is a Human Right Collaborative in Portland, Maine in August.   Plus we're holding a summer Solidarity School, kicking off a statewide speaking tour, mobilizing our people to fight another round of outrageous rate hikes at the Green Mountain Care Board hearings, and continuing policy work to develop a financing plan for Act 48, Vermont's 2011 universal health care law.

Please help us keep this up!  Join us, attend an event and/or (of course) help us out with a financial contribution.  No donation is too small (or too large) to help!
