The Hamlet is a residential community in the heart of Lopez village for people age 55 and older. Our community consists of 14 cottages that house 18 seniors who are independent or independent with assistance (avg. age 80) and an adult family home that is staffed 24/7 with caregivers for seven residents (avg. age 89). By offering supportive rental housing, the Hamlet helps ensure that our beloved elders can stay in our community as long as possible. We have served almost 100 Lopezians since opening our doors in 2008.

We are requesting your support to help fund new furniture and flooring for Hamlet House, our adult family home. After fifteen years of use, the common areas need new high-quality, padded flooring. This will especially benefit those with mobility issues by providing an easier surface to maneuver on. In addition, much of the furniture, including the couch and mobility chairs, is worn out from years of use and has become difficult for residents to use.

We are also looking to replace some of our large parking lot lights as the structural components of them are failing. It is necessary to replace them to provide a safe entry and exit space for our residents and their families.

Matching gifts are generously made by family and friends of past and present Hamlet residents.
