The Logan County Humane Society is an independent, non-profit agency contracted by Logan County and the city of Russellville to operate the animal shelter. Your donations are used pay for the medical care of sick and injured animals, new kennels, items such as food, food bowls and water bowls, treats, toys, and cleaning supplies. When you donate to our shelter, the supplies and funds are used to benefit the animals at the shelter.

We have many fund raisers throughout the year and we welcome the entire community to join in to support our local animals and the shelter. We also provide educational programs and would gladly come to your school, church or place of business to provided these classes. If you would like, you can schedule an educational class here at the shelter. Just give a call to set up a session.
We are always willing to help!

Our mission is to provide a safe, comfortable place for the homeless animals in our care until we can find them a loving, forever home. It is not fair for these cats and dogs to live in a shelter so we often reach out to rescues up north to help us find them a good home. If you see our transport van on the interstate, wave and smile because you can be assured we have a van load of animals getting a second chance in life.

It is also our mission to educate the community about responsible pet ownership and the proper care for your pet. We also have a dog behaviorist on our staff that can help you with training tips. We love volunteers who stop by and help teach the dogs new tricks; such as: sit, shake and stay. We welcome our community to come visit the wonderful cats and dogs we have available for adoption. We are open 5 days a week from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. We are closed on Wednesdays and Sundays.
