$1,000 goal

It is NOT NEWS that parents and young people continue to struggle in this third year of a worldwide pandemic. Thanks to loyal friends and supporters, thanks to YOU, we made it to our goal of raising $1000 in this Love and Luck challenge.

Parents Forum called on you — longtime friends, past participants and donors, as well as new friends — to help us continue the progress we made this past year despite the inevitable pandemic-related bumps in the road. You did it! Now our all-volunteer program is poised for progress that will build on past success:

  • We have two active programs: a partnership with The Confess Project in Arkansas and another in Algeria with SARP, the Algerian Society for Research in Psychology. We are working closely …if remotely, with staff at each organization.
  • We presented a mini-workshop online February 8th with Parents Toolshop: ‘No Hard Feelings, Really!’ that shows how we model and teach emotional awareness.
  • We used some …not all! of the proceeds of our successful entry in USA Today’s 2020 A Community Thrives challenge — over $13,000 in total, including $6,000 from your donations — to develop a plan for future growth. Empower Success Corps, a Boston area consultancy focusing on nonprofits, worked closely with our team to create this plan.
  • In February 2022 interviewed several terrific candidates for our leadership team and will officially welcome them mid-May.
  • We continue to publish our monthly newsletter Voices of Parents Forum with short articles from participants and others involved in our work. Take a look!

Please mark your calendar -- Parents Forum will be on Instagram Live Tuesday April 19 at 7:00pm ET -- and sign up for our newsletter to get details.

We welcome your donation today, in any amount!

Thank you for your interest and support!
