Puppies heroically saved in Puerto Rico

These adorable little puppies have an unbelievable story and are lucky to be alive.

Meet Bootsy, Sunny, Duke, Misty and Bo! They are 3 month old lab mixes who had the incredible luck of their tiny little howls being heard by some incredible people in Puerto Rico. 

They were born underneath a car in Puerto Rico in the commercial Toro. They could have ended up like all the poor other strays in Puerto Rico who spend their days dodging traffic, scrounging for scraps of food and living without any human affection or vet care. Luckily, someone heard these puppies crying underneath a car and they decided to help save them no matter how hard that mission turned out to be. Several people had to chip in to help because they ended up having to lift the car off the ground in order to get to these puppies! Thankfully they were able to get to all of them while the car was lifted otherwise who knows what their fate would have been. 

They weren't in the best shape but with human intervention these puppies made it and have been waiting to catch a plane ride to DC and join Homeward Trails in their adventure to find new homes.
