Meet the MAAC Admin Team! 

We're the behind-the-scenes crew at MAAC, and our job is to make everything else possible! The Admin team keeps the nonprofit running smoothly so that our talented, committed direct care staff can focus on what they do best: Serving Georgia's youth in foster care. We go beyond every day to make the work work.

Beyond Office Routines & Checking Boxes

We're often the first people in the office in the morning and the last to leave at night. When a youth needs a service to help them meet their goals, we coordinate the funding and approvals to make it happen. We order the school supplies, laptops, and backpacks for our LEADS students. We organize the fundraisers and grants to raise the money needed to fill the gap, ensuring that our youth can get what they truly need, not just what is easily available.

Going Beyond during COVID

In March, our normal routine for supporting young people changed tremendously. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, daily life for youth transitioning from foster care has become even more challenging. Many have struggled to be able to afford basic necessities or safe and stable housing. However, with the help of generous donations from people like you plus some creative brainstorming, the Admin team has been able to go even further than before to meet the needs of these young people. Our dedicated crew has met young people where they're at during COVID -- providing rent assistance for housing, personally dropping off checks to pay for groceries, coordinating referrals to resources, and taking care of other basic essentials to encourage these young people to remain stable and continue to reach for their goals. Regardless of the need, the Admin team was able to make it happen thanks to YOUR support.

Why We're Asking YOU to Give

There are still so many young people with unmet needs for emergency assistance. The Admin team helps to coordinate our emergency fund requests for youth, and we can't provide that support without your generosity! This is especially important leading into the holiday season. The Admin team also hosts MAAC's annual holiday gift drive to make sure each youth has something special to look forward to, which can be a tremendous mental health boost.
