I was recently selected as one of the 12 Deaf swimmers to represent Team USA this May in Brazil.
Let me give you a little background about myself. In 2011, I moved to Frederick, Maryland when I was around 6 years old. The following summer, I decided to join the Lake Linganore Dolphins summer swim team. I quickly fell in love with competitive swimming. Within a few years, I joined a club team and have been swimming year-round ever since. I am currently swimming with Monocacy Aquatic Club as well as my high school swim team.
Swimming is something that I have loved for so long. I am currently swimming 6 days a week with 3 days of drylands. My dream since I started swimming has been to one day go to the Deaflympics. In the meantime , I am so proud to have this opportunity to represent Team USA and will keep working as hard as I can to be the best swimmer and teammate I can be.
I am hoping you can help me out to help me cover some of my expenses and fulfill my dreams of being part of Team USA.
