MaineShare Federation COVID-19 Fund

In these uncertain times, it is important that we remember our individual and shared commitment to one another, to our communities, and to the community of Maine. The term "greater good" has taken on new meaning for most of us today. 

We are reaching out today to ask that you consider contributing to our Covid-19 Response Fund. Your donation will allow us to support our 42 member partners as they respond to this unprecedented crisis.

This immediate challenge is likely one of the greatest our community leaders and activists have ever faced. When Maine's health, safety, and economic stability are in the balance, MaineShare member organizations understand the need to stay on mission.

Here are a few examples of how our member organizations will help our residents weather the storm:

• Maineshare member organizations focusing on equal access to health care are rising to the challenge to make sure that we all care for the most vulnerable among us.
• Educational organizations like Maine Public, Maine Audubon and MOFGA are providing access to supplemental learning resources for educators across the state.
• Our social justice and diversity organizations are doing everything they can to remind us that crisis does not justify bigotry or bias. They are helping all of us understand that all life and all voices should be recognized and considered in every decision for the greater good.
• Member environmental organizations are ensuring that we pay close attention to how we use and protect the resources we have today to ensure we have the resources we will need tomorrow.
• Our animal rights organizations continue to protect and care for those creatures without language or shelter or protection.
