It's time for Representation through Improvisation! We (Max Freedman, Charles Whitewolf, and Becca Lynch) are aiming to raise $2,500 of the $25,000 needed for Theatre of the Oppressed NYC's 2018 Legislative Theatre process led by nonbinary youth and young women of color. For every $500 we raise, we're going to drop a new surprise video on social media and via email to our supporters.
Update: We did it!
Check out our videos: a glimpse into the new TONYC office (above), a pie-eating contest, a water-gun fight, a semi-original song about our donors up to $1,000, a last-minute Skype call, a dance party in the subway station, and pies in our faces!
Please give $10 or more to our campaign! Check out this video to learn more about the Legislative Theatre process it's funding:
How does Legislative Theatre work?
WATCH original plays based on urgent issues from actors’ lived experiences
ACT out creative solutions to challenge systems of oppression
VOTE on policy changes that YOU proposed and make your voice heard by city legislators.
Creative, participatory democracy is more important than ever. We're stepping up to REPRESENT, and working hard to keep Legislative Theatre FREE for all New Yorkers. Want to know more about the nitty-gritty of Legislative Theatre in the city? Read our LT Report!
Donate today, and help us give every New Yorker the opportunity to Watch, Act, Vote for FREE in November 2018.
