The Ingomar Middle School Family is happy to announce, the 30th Annual IMS Benefit Run, which will be held on Friday: May 31, 2024.
This year all donations will be sent to Stephen's Hulksters Angel Fund in honor of our staff member Mr. Buches' who's son Stephen passed away in February. The Mission of the foundation is to help other families transport and access durable equipment for children with needs like Stephen to have a better quality of life.
The Benefit Run is a favorite event at Ingomar and has been established to raise money to benefit local charities. Since 1994, we’ve helped grant 9 wishes through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. We’ve given money to Passavant hospital, as well as The American Heart Association. Over the past eight years we have donated approximately $36,000 to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. 5 years ago, we raised a record breaking $10,000. Last year, we continued our partnership with Miss 22 Quties, which strives to build friendships and build confidence in youth and young adults with special needs. We also donated to the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank honoring Aidan’s Army. In the Spring of 2018, we donated to Assistance in Health Care, which helps families with a Cancer Diagnosis through the Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Our donation was made in honor of our friend and colleague Mr. Dave Winkworth. We were able to donate $2,800 to each of those worthy charities.
This run for fun will cover a 1-mile cross-country course. Teachers will be stationed at various locations on the course to monitor safety and to cheer for the runners. There will be trophies and other awards for top finishers.
Please support our IMS runners by donating to support these charities
