Your support will make a huge difference to the Chinese seniors who depend on Self-Help for the Elderly, many of whom are monolingual and isolated while the stay-at-home order is in place.
Self-Help for the Elderly is committed to the well-being and health of our seniors and community members. Since March 17, 2020, most of Self-Help for the Elderly’s staff are working from home and sheltering in place while we retain our essential services for the seniors and individuals who are entrusted to us. Autumn Glow Alzheimer’s Home Care, Lady Shaw Senior Housing, and Lincoln Court Senior Apartments are operating. Our staff at Homecare and Hospice are paying home visits to patients and the staff at Jackie Chan Center Adult Day Services and Social Services are calling clients to conduct wellness checks every other day. Additionally, we are continuing to provide home-delivered meals to the seniors in San Francisco and San Mateo.
Your donation will be used to support our home-delivered meal program. We are delivering 4,500 meals to seniors every day so seniors can stay home and be safe.
