The Mecha Makos Engineering & Robotics Booster Club is a non-profit corporation that supports the students who participate in the school’s engineering program, competitive robotics and coding teams at MAST Academy in Miami FL.
The club’s main purpose is to expose MAST students to hands on activities that will prepare them for careers in science and technology, and position them for admission into the top university programs in engineering and science.
MAST Academy is recognized as a 2019 Nationally Certified Magnet School. Established in September, 1991, MAST Academy is the only Maritime and Science Technology magnet high school in the Miami-Dade County Public School System. Students graduate with a full range of honors, AP, Cambridge (AICP) and Dual Enrollment courses. MAST was recognized by Newsweek as one of the top 100 high schools in the U.S., and as a State of Florida High Performing School, among other awards. The school has a strong focus on academics and STEM. Our students have been award winners at the South Florida Regional Science and Engineering Fair, and one of our students was invited to deliver a Ted Talk on Creativity in Engineering!
Our MAST Robotics teams have been award winners in the VEX, FTC and FRC categories! Our coding team deepens STEM experiences for our students. Our Engineering program benefits from projects not funded by the county. But project, parts and competitions are expensive and our talented students need your help! Your donations provide college opportunities not only for the members of our robotics and coding teams, but they raise the calibre of MAST Academy and of Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
