Meet the folks in D28, the Autism Behavior Unit at Milford High School. We are a specialized classroom serving students on the Autism Spectrum. We have many tools for students of all abilities on the spectrum, but we are adding to our toolbox. We have been approved by 4Paws for Ability in Xenia, Ohio for an Autism Assistance Facility Dog. The dog will be trained to meet the needs of our students with disabilities and help them achieve their goals. If you know someone with ASD, maybe you are aware of the many challenges every day brings. We believe this dog will help us when we struggle, whether it ‘s with behaviors caused by the many sensory and other trials that are part of this condition, communication and socialization, safety and independence, or simple comfort and security. It is very expensive to raise and train a service dog, but our students are worth it. We need to support 4Paws in their mission to provide dogs for all those in need, including us! We are trying to raise $15,000.00 and we are on a mission! Please consider any donation to help us meet our goal. We are so proud and happy to support a worthy cause, that changes children’s lives.
