Puerto Rican Puppies Need Our Help

These two cutie patooties are Midnight and Azabache (Spanish for Black Amber).  They are teeny tiny at only 3 months old and 8 pounds each!  Their owner moved away and dropped them off at the shelter on his way out of town.  The pups sure are happy to have each other, but unfortunately they now live their lives in a Puerto Rican shelter.  Growing up in a sparse shelter that is overwhelmed with dogs does not bode well for their future.   Puppies need love, enrichment and of course stable homes.  Homeward Trails is trying diligently to get the puppies to the DC area and to a safe foster home, but getting dogs out of Puerto Rico is no easy feat right now.  We need to secure their flight with your support!  Midnight and Azabache deserve a full life of happiness.  Please donate to their rescue today so they don't have to sleep in a cold kennel one more night!
