My Dad, an avid hiker, orienteer, runner, and walker, was diagnosed with WM in 2019. Please join me by walking in support of the Mighty Mac, or making a donation for those affected by this incurable blood cancer!
The Walk for Waldenstrom's is a virtual 5k run/walk which will take place on October 29th 2021. The funds raised during the Walk for Waldenstrom's will make a very real difference to WM community members around the globe - these funds will support vital research into WM, the creation of IWMF publications and literature, and they will help the IWMF continue to offer free resources and materials to all those affected by WM.
You can help the IWMF raise awareness and support for WM by participating in the Walk for Waldenstrom's :
- Create your own Walk for Waldenstrom's page and promote it among your friends and family.
- Donate to an existing Walk for Waldenstrom's page.
- Be with us "virtually" by going for a walk in your neighborhood, walking trail, etc. on the same day and encouraging your friends and family to donate on your behalf. The IWMF will even supply you with links to virtual walking tours which you can enjoy from the comfort of your own home through your computer, tablet, or smartphone.
Services and projects initiated by the IWMF are designed specifically to:
- Offer mutual support and encouragement to the Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia community and others with an interest in the disease.
- Provide information and educational programs that address patients' concerns.
- Promote and support research leading to better treatments and ultimately, a cure.
The IWMF is dedicated to supporting and educating everyone affected by Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia (WM) while advancing the search for a cure. Help us raise awareness and support for Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinemia by donating to the Walk for Waldenstrom’s. All donations will support WM patients and caregivers and bring us closer to a World without WM.
