Grand Opening of Salaam Community Wellness Center

Salaam Community Wellness Center was established in 2020 to address the unmet health and health care needs of medically-underserved communities on Chicago's South Side. We will offer a new integrative model to address primary care, addictions, mental health, and nutrition. Some of the therapies we will utilize include western and non-western modalities such as individual and group counseling, deep-breathing, meditation, yoga, tai chi and chi gong.

Funds from this campaign will enable us to provide direct services to our patients. Here is an example of how your funds will help others. For every $20,000 donated, we will be able to provide 8 mental health sessions to 50 patients.

Some of these funds used to complete the renovation of our space. We need to outfit 4 of our examination rooms, purchase supplies, hire staff, and purchase an IT system which will include our electronic health record. All of these are key to providing high quality care to our patients as well as measure our outcomes and impact.
