Meet Brantley, the newest junior member of the Memento Mori LEMC and the beneficiary of 2nd Annual Graysons Ride For Wishes.  This is Brantleys story from his mother. "At 13 weeks pregant I went in find out the gender of our sweet baby boy, we were so happy it was the best day! As hours went on sitting in the room waiting for the doctor to come in finally a doctor to show up with the bad news..our son has a heart problem and when he is born he will have to have emergency surgery to fix his heart, with so much devastating news we were transferred to st cloud hospital to figure out what was going on! That is when we found out Brantley had TGA (TRANSPOSITION OF THE GREAT ARTERIES) And VSD and 2 major holes in his heart, going forward we had multiple OB appointments to make sure he will be stable enough for the rest of my pregnancy.. on December 10th I went into Labor and was transported to Abbott Northwestern hospital in Minneapolis MN.. the next morning at 5:24am we gave birth to a beautiful baby boy and named him Brantley David Lent, right when I gave birth he was blue and very discolored and was taken from me before I could even lay may eyes on him, they rushed him to the ICU and hooked him on so many different lines it was so crazy! I remeber the doctor coming in and telling me Brantley was doing amazing and is really stable and they could do his surgery at 7 days old, as the days went on Brantley had his surgery 8 hours long at 7 days old and was in the hospital for a whole month before he was discharged, as the months went on Brantley followed up with his Heart doctor Chip Martin and brantley was doing so good hes heart was working well! Around May of 2021 I noticed Brantley stomach getting larger and larger I took him in so many times with no answers to whay was going on, days kept flying, Brantley was getting more and more sick we got transferred to Children's Minneapolis where we were diagnosed with Stage 4 wilms Cancer...the doctor said this was the highest and most dangerous stage to be at..with being speechless and don't know how to process all the news knowing your son has cancer he was admitted into children's where they took care of him, a few days went on and some Testing, some x rays and a CT scan we found out the mass on his kidney was so big (bigger then a size of a baby puppy) it was wrapped around the Arorta and the kidney was no where to be found and the Cancer spreaded to his lungs and he had 7 masses in the lungs.. the doctors took us in the right direction and had him go threw 6 weeks of chemotherapy.. on December 10th Brantley had a CT scan to see if the mass had shrunk to were they can remove it safely and it shrunk half the size so they did surgery and waiting for 6 hours was the longest wait of my life the doctor came in and safely removed the mass, kidney and the 7 masses in his lungs! Brantley was in the ICU for a few days then up to the Cancer and blood unit afterwards was doing VERY well and was discharged a week later, Brantley has 20 weeks left of chemo and has gone threw 5 days of Radation as well! Nothing that he is sick with ever brings him down, Brantley is a 5 year old little boy with such happy spirits! He loves dinosaurs, he can name every single dinosaur you can think of! He loves spending time with His little brother and when he's not feeling the best Brighton will take care of Brantley and be by his side intel he's better to play! Brantley loves being outside with his dogs Husky Bonnie and Husky mix Chopper, he loves reading books and keeping busy! Brantley is Currently out of school and daycare , with that being said when Brantley is home I'm out of work on the days I have him when he's not with his Father, when he's with his father I'm working 14h long shifts to provide for my family and not only to take care of my Family but to take care of the elderly and there families! My son has been in and out of the hospital more then I have in the entire 25 years I have been here, no child should have to go threw this nasty disease.. watching my son on a daily bases be sick and try to put on a smile is the toughest thing I have had to overcome! I hope Brantleys story can reach out to others and for others to know they are not alone."

Please help us show Brantley that our community has his back from here on out. Thank you kindly for your donation and support!
