Now more than ever, Moore Buddies Mentoring needs your help. While there is much good happening in our community, we share concerns that many have, about the long-term effects of this pandemic on our children, their families, and our businesses.

Moore Buddies has been serving kids in Moore County for over 25 years, working with children who some may say will “never amount to anything.”  We believe that every child deserves a chance to succeed, and to thrive in life. We surround them with love, encouragement and support, and help them to succeed in school, and in life. With our Summer Programs in jeopardy, we are coming up with creative ways to stay connected with the children and their families including craft and outdoor kits.

We know you want to help, and we are so grateful for that. We hope you will take the opportunity during this crisis, to change a life through a donation.  Any amount makes an immediate difference as we look to meet basic needs both physically and emotionally for our mentees and their families. We thank you for your generosity and hope that you will share with others that would like to support our organization and mission.

Our Story

In 1995, a group of concerned community members saw a need in Moore County for youth to have a positive role model in their life, and so they created Moore Buddies Mentoring. By bringing caring adults into the schools to address children’s unmet needs, MBM provides the link between educators and the community. The result: teachers are free to teach and students – many in jeopardy of dropping out-- have the opportunity to focus on learning. Moore Buddies Mentoring continues to do outreach, recruit, and train volunteers to be positive influences in a young person’s life. Our core programs include In-School Mentoring, Community Mentoring, and My PATH.

The mission of Moore Buddies Mentoring is to champion successful youth through mentoring and empowering families. Today we mentor over 100 children in the Moore County area. We believe that every child deserves succeed and thrive at life. Our mentors surround these children with love, encouragement, and support to help them to succeed in school and in life.
