Mountwest Pink Out

Every year, Mountwest hosts our annual "Pink Out" event in support of raising money for the Karen S. Johnson Memorial Scholarship. 

This scholarship was established by a group of faculty members in loving memory of Karen S. Johnson, a Mountwest Community & Technical College employee of 27 years who passes away in 2011 after a long battle with breast cancer. This scholarship also honors the memory of Karen’s daughter, Jennifer Johnson Polo, who also passed aware in 2012 from breast cancer.

The scholarship is awarded to students of Mountwest who are cancer survivors or patients.
