In any music program, the presence of double bass instruments is invaluable, providing a solid foundation and richness to the sound. This holds true for The New Victorian School's music program in Haiti as well.
Currently, we face a shortage of double basses, hindering the growth and opportunities for our talented young musicians. With only three double basses currently available for over 20 students, our orchestra performances are limited, leaving many aspiring players without the chance to participate fully.
By expanding the number of double basses available, more students will have access to these instruments, additional players will enable our orchestra to grow in size, and the impact of a fully equipped double bass section with confident and skills players will inspire and motivate our students to reach new heights in their musical journey.
