Have you ever wondered why you react so emotionally to a piece of music?
Well now’s the time to find out!

Come hear acclaimed musician Brock Holmes (performs, composes, directs) in this interactive 1 hour, music-filled session as he demonstrates and explains how and why melodies, chords, harmonies, and rhythms can affect your emotions.

Please join Brock Holmes and Everyone Home DC Board Member Alison Harwood  on Sunday, October 4th at 5 p.m. for a lively conversation!   Proceeds will support Everyone Home DC, an organization working to end homelessness in Washington, DC.

LEARN MORE ABOUT BROCK HOLMES:
Brock Holmes has performed and taught in the D.C. area for over 30 years. He recently gave three SRO (Standing Room Only) concerts featuring his uniquely styled and intricate compositions. Brock has been Music Director of multiple productions staged by the British Embassy Players and by the Hexagon Club. As a guitarist, he has performed solo and as an accompanist at a variety of venues, including with the Fairfax Symphony. Brock has released two CDs – one featuring his award-winning a cappella group “Brock and the Rockets,” and one of his own compositions based on polyrhythms, titled, Rhythm Warrior. He has taught guitar, piano, and a panoply of other instruments at all levels, and works with every student to find and keep in focus his or her particular love of music, whether it’s classical, jazz, folk, or none of the above. Find his music on Google Play.

LEARN MORE ABOUT EVERYONE HOME DC:
Everyone Home DC believes that when everyone has access to a safe, affordable, and comfortable home, we can all thrive. Everyone Home DC's life-changing  housing solutions and supportive services for individuals and families at risk of or experiencing homelessness are critical in normal times. But in response to the global health pandemic, Everyone Home DC has become a lifeline for people in our city who are feeling far more exposed to the harshness of this new reality.

COVID-19 has also forced the cancellation of Everyone Home DC’s signature fundraising event, Sip and Savor, which was expected to raise $100,000 in essential program funds on September 26. So, Everyone Home DC has launched a month long digital campaign  to help close this funding gap as Everyone Home DC continues to reimagine how to provide supportive services as well as timely and critical resources to individuals and families at risk of or experiencing homelessness in our city.

PLEASE SUPPORT PEOPLE AT RISK OF OR EXPERIENCING
HOMELESSNESS BY MAKING A GIFT TODAY!
