Mustache March for Autism 2021

Last year’s fundraiser got off track due to the turmoil and uncertainty of the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. Restrictions put in place had the unintended effect of making it very difficult for organizations like Turning Pointe to raise critical funds to continue their work. That is why efforts like this are more important than ever, and why every little bit helps. This whole thing is not about mustaches (that’s just a quirky hook to bring attention to it), it is about helping an organization that does the kind of work that changes lives! Welcome! This page is the home of the Ben Curcio/Dan Wolf Auto Group Mustache March for Autism! 2021 marks year number EIGHT that I’ve put on my annual fundraiser for this amazing cause! I've worked for the Dan Wolf Auto Group for 17 years now, and have been inspired by the work & enormous amount of support the organization has given to the education of teens, young adults, and families affected by autism. The Wolf family started a foundation called Turning Pointe that provides amazing opportunities and education for children, young adults, and families affected by Autism. I have learned a great deal about the life-changing work the folks at Turning Pointe do during my time here, and felt compelled to do my part in supporting them. This is just one guy trying to do what I can to help a cause I truly believe in. The basic premise is that anyone that wants to join in will grow in a mustache for the whole month of March (or shave off your beard, leaving just a mustache); people will ask our participants "What's up with the mustache bro?" and then we can lead them to this site to help raise funds for the Turning Pointe Autism Foundation. A little background: 

Autism affects 1 in 110 children. Just ten years ago, that number was 1 in 10,000. Today, autism is more common in children than cancer, diabetes, Down’s Syndrome and AIDS combined. To meet the needs of this growing population, Turning Pointe Autism Foundation is partnering with families, schools, businesses and the community to support the specialized approaches, intensive therapies and accommodations necessary for our children and young adults to grow and thrive. Through the Turning Pointe school, career development and employment, special recreation and residential programs, Turning Pointe is helping individuals impacted by autism develop the skills needed to achieve a competent and meaningful adulthood. Turning Pointe focuses on the strengths that every student has, and helps them develop their skills into ones that can make each student an asset to any company that is lucky enough to have them!
