An amazing 24 hours!
Thanks for the great start!! . It's only been 24 hours. Those of you who instantly responded have been so generous. We are on our way to meeting our goal. I know we are just scratching the surface and that so many of you have seen our email request. Looking forward to the rest of the week and building our community.
MVP Basketball Camp recently celebrated its 25th Anniversary with more than 25,000 campers served and 7,500 scholarships awarded since 1994. We are excited to continue the mission of our founder, Stan Greene with the philosophy that “no child is ever turned away due to an inability to pay.” Based in White Plains, NY, MVP Basketball Camp continues to blend zip codes, providing the most diverse basketball experience for youth between the ages of six and sixteen years old in Westchester County, the Bronx and southern Connecticut.
MVP Basketball Camp believes that sports are not only a great way to exercise and feel good about yourself, but also an incredible way to bring people together who may have otherwise never even met. Too often in our communities, people stay within the invisible boundaries of our zip codes. As a result, many "community based" programs are operated in a vacuum. At MVP, we use basketball as a way to bring these children and families together from different socioeconomic backgrounds to bridge difference through play. Furthermore, as we all try to navigate the social issues and Covid-19 pandemic that our country is currently facing, this is needed now more than ever.
With your support, MVP Basketball Camp can continue to create sports and recreational opportunities for deserving families in our community. With meaningful contributions to the MVP Basketball Scholarship fund, we are confident that MVP Basketball Camp will continue to thrive and celebrate diversity as a staple of our community for many years to come.
